At the end of December, several reports from Portugal claimed that Wolverhampton Wanderers fullback Rúben Vinagre was set to return to Portugal on a loan deal with SC Braga.

The player is actually having a spell at Olympiacos in Greece, but would have his time there cut short and return to his home country.

Now it seems things have changed a little, because according to O Jogo, the deal with Braga is off, and Vinagre is actually joining Famalicão.

The outlet reports that the 21-year-old has already arrived at his new club and took part in a training session today, even though the move is still to be made official.

O Jogo writes that ‘everything was agreed’ for Vinagre to move to Braga, but in the end, there was no deal with the Premier League side. They highlight that the fullback is now joining Bruno Jordão, another Wolves loanee having a spell at Famalicão.

Vinagre only made four appearances for Olympiacos this season, and that’s probably the reason his time in Greece didn’t last so long.
