With Napoli seeming focused on signing Adama Traore from Wolverhampton Wanderers this summer, the Italian media today shares a new story on this pursuit.
It’s outlet Area Napoli who comes up to claim that the 27-year-old is ‘highly appreciated’ by club chiefs Aurelio De Laurentiis and Cristiano Giuntoli.
It’s said the duo would sign Traore from Wolves ‘as early as tomorrow’ if they could, and prepare the attempt to get him in the summer.
The winger’s contract with the Molineux side expires at the end of the season, and the report points out that ‘in all likelihood’, he’ll be leaving the Premier League side for free.
Area Napoli says that in case the Italian side feel confident they can ‘satisfy’ Traore, then they shall ‘launch the decisive attack’.
Hirving Lozano is likely to leave the club at the end of the season, so the Wolves player would take his place there.
Since returning to the Molineux from the loan at Barcelona, Traore has three goals and one assist in 31 appearances.
It seems the club would like to keep him, but he’s set to analyse what comes to his table as a free agent.
