Wolverhampton Wanderers defender Yerson Mosquera now seems ready to be announced by Villarreal.
According to Onda Cero, the player has arrived in Spain ahead of his move to the La Liga side.
It’s said that Mosquera already passed his medical examinations and the transfer should soon be made official by the clubs.
The report says the Wolves player may have a big challenge ahead, as he could be included in the squad which will face Barcelona at the weekend.
Mosquera, who joined Wolves in a €5.2m move from Atlético Nacional back in 2021, had already been out of the club on a loan deal, as he spent the year of 2023 at Cincinnati in MLS.
His deal with the North American side expired in December, and it seems the Molineux side never had the intention to have him in their squad, as now found this deal with Villarreal.
We shall see if leaving a good impression at the La Liga side will result in the player’s chance of signing a permanent deal with them.
