Wolverhampton Wanderers’ Fábio Silva ended his loan stay at Anderlecht and sealed a temporary move to PSV Eindhoven in the winter market.
The forward has been a regular for the Dutch club and has made nine appearances, managing three goals and an assist in the process.
On Wednesday, reports in the Dutch press stated the Wolves owned player is happy at PSV and they will decide later whether or not to extend his loan stay.
According to Eindhovens Dagblad, relayed by Voetbal Primeur, Ruud van Nistelrooy’s side are ‘very satisfied’ with the 20-year-old and want to retain him beyond this season. In addition to this, Silva favours continuing in Eindhoven for one more season.
To achieve this, PSV would have knocked on Wolves’ door, but they have not yet been ‘very keen’ on the Eredivisie side’s advances and have ‘parked the proposal’.
It’s ‘unknown’ whether Julen Lopetegui’s side want to hold talks later, but Silva’s desire to stay is an advantage for PSV and their hope of keeping him next season.
