Despite the recent links between Brighton & Hove Albion and Juventus midfielder Arthur in the past few weeks, it now seems it’s Wolverhampton Wanderers who could end up signing the midfielder.
This situation is today explained by Italian newspaper Tuttosport, who feature a piece on the players who may be leaving the Old Lady this summer.
Following Arthur’s return to Juventus from his loan at Liverpool, rumours had been saying that Brighton now wanted him for next season.
Tuttosport, however, say the interest from the Seagulls has ‘cooled down a bit’, and there’s actually another club trying to bring him to the Premier League.
It’s claimed that Wolves ‘have inquired with interest’, and that’s where they state Juventus’ requests for the transfer.
The Bianconeri are reportedly thinking about loaning Arthur out again. That way, they would demand a fee, and also get rid of part of his €6m annual salary.
It isn’t made clear if Brighton could get back in this race by making a new move, as the news here is about Wolves interest and them becoming the new potential destination for the Brazilian.
