Wolverhampton Wanderers have opened talks to sign Corinthians defender Murillo, according to claims from Brazil.
Goal Brasil writes that Wolves are willing to spend €12m to sign the centre-back this summer.
Corinthians, however, consider the amount low, and are unlikely to accept it.
It seems like Wolves are just making a first move, and there’s a good reason to believe in that possibility. That’s because just days ago, the Brazilian club had already turned dowon the same €12m from Fiorentina.
Goal Brasil writes that Corinthians expect ‘much higher’ numbers, so we’ll have to wait and see how the Molineux side will react.
Wolves should be aware that they may have some English competition for the transfer, as it was recently reported in Brazil that Nottingham Forest are interested in the player.
It was claimed the Tricky Trees would soon bid €15m for the signing, while Corinthians’ request was €20m. Those are big signs that the Molineux club will have to raise their bid by a few million to have any chance of getting a deal done.
