Corinthians will not accept Wolverhampton Wanderers’ bid for the transfer of Yuri Alberto, according to the latest reports from Brazil.
ESPN Brasil shows up with a fresh story claiming that the club’s board ‘took a decision’ rather quickly and ‘do not intend to accept the offer’ made by Wolves.
It’s said that even though Yuri Alberto is going through a tough time, Corinthians do not think of letting him go and aren’t open to negotiations, as they have few options for their attack.
Just like Goal had claimed earlier today, ESPN Brasil also says that Wolves’ offer went straight to Corinthians, with no contact with the player’s agent, André Cury.
The Molineux side were trying to sign Yuri Alberto on a loan with an option to buy.
It seems clear that Corinthians weren’t overly confident that the striker would have a convincing spell at Wolves, at least not enough for them to purchase him at the end of the deal.
The striker has been struggling in Brazil for a while now, so it’s difficult to imagine him having a big turnaround in the Premier League, especially with some quick results needed in the final part of the season.
