Nottingham Forest and Wolverhampton Wanderers are both interested in Sporting winger Nuno Santos, according to reports from Portugal.
It’s newspaper O Jogo who today features a page-long piece saying clubs are ‘tightening the siege’ on the 28-year-old.
The story claims that Nottingham Forest and Wolves have been following Santos ‘for a long time’ and are ‘evaluating the possibility’ of signing him at the end of the season.
It’s claimed that both sides are aware that they can’t sign the winger ‘for less than €15m’. But for now, they’re obviously said to be more focused on staying in the Premier League.
O Jogo highlights that Nottingham Forest and Wolves aren’t the only clubs ‘in the running’ to get Santos signed.
They claim that the likes of Eintracht Frankfurt, Nice and Torino are all interested in him as well.
Nuno Santos has nine goals and eight assists in 47 appearances for Sporting this season so far.
The story points out that he’s protected by a €60m release clause, but the Lions are well aware that he’s not worth that much, and won’t use it as a reference this time.
