On deadline day, Wolverhampton Wanderers signed Jean-Ricner Bellegarde from RC Strasbourg.
Prior to securing Bellegarde’s services, Wolves reportedly tabled a €25m bid to sign his former teammate, Habib Diarra, but it was turned down by the Ligue 1 side. That hasn’t put off the English club as they still continue to chase him.
That’s according to Calciomercato, who state Wolves are one of the clubs that follow the 19-year-old.
The report focuses on Juventus’ interest in the France U21 international and their plan to watch him in action when Les Bleuets face Denmark U21 later today.
Calciomercato add the Serie A side are not alone as Gary O’Neil’s side and Chelsea are also following him, but that’s all the report has to say about the Premier League duo.
The 19-year-old spent three years with the French club’s academy before making his way into their senior team in 2021.
He has been a regular for them since the start of last season, operating as defensive, central and an attacking midfielder.
Chelsea may have an edge over Wolves and Juve to sign the versatile player since their owner, BlueCo, also own Strasbourg, but it remains to be seen whether a sale will be allowed by Patrick Vieira, who already lost one of his best players late in the transfer window in Bellegarde.
