Christos Mandas had a fine breakout season at Lazio in the 2023/24 campaign and that has led to potential suitors considering moves for him.
While the Greek goalkeeper played only nine times for the Serie A side last season, he made a definite mark and interest from Wolves now seems to have been translated into an offer.
That is according to Il Messaggero today, who state that Lazio will find it difficult to say ‘no’ to offers around €20m. Wolves are said to have followed up their interest by offering just that amount.
Lazio have a great amount of ‘esteem’ for the 22-year-old but that offer from Wolves is something that the Biancocelesti simply can’t reject because of the numbers involved.
It would help them make a rather significant capital profit, as Mandas had arrived at the club for about €1m. The lure of that capital gain seems enough for Lazio to accept the offer.
A sale now seems quite likely.
