It’s now time for the Brazilian media to say Wolverhampton Wanderers are working on the signings of Felipe and Matheus Cunha from Atletico Madrid.
Globo Esporte today features a story claiming the clubs are currently ‘discussing amounts and conditions’ for both players to move to the Molineux.
The report claims Cunha’s move to Wolves could be facilitated due to the fact he’s Atletico Madrid’s ‘last option’ in attack.
Something similar and ‘more delicate’ happens to Felipe, who only played three times this season.
According to Globo Esporte, both signings were requested by Wolves’ new manager Julen Lupetegui, who took charge of the club around a month ago.
The Molineux side’s interest in the Atletico Madrid duo was revealed by the Spanish media earlier this week, with Marca stating on Monday that the duo were one step away from joining the Premier League side.
Even though a good part of the Spanish media are now on board with that news, we’re still to see stories telling how much Wolves will be spending on the Brazilian duo, although it’s interesting that their home country’s media now confirms the operation.
