There’s a claim in the German media that Brentford and Wolverhampton Wanderers are showing interest in FC Nurnberg midfielder Casper Jander.

The youngster is attracting attention from a number of European clubs following his performances for the Bundesliga 2 side this season and their sporting director Joti Chatzialexiou has spoken about his future.

Sport Bild have covered comments made by Chatzialexiou in which he said the German club will enter into transfer talks once interested clubs meet their demands.

“There are people who are simply interested in the player. I would be too, if I were a level higher. But I have a very clear stance on this and know that at a certain point we’ll enter into talks,” said the FC Nurnberg director.

According to the German newspaper, Brentford and Wolves are in the mix to sign the 22-year-old, but will face competition from Bayer Leverkusen, Freiburg, Stuttgart and Club Brugge.

However, Jander will not come on the cheap with claims the two Premier League clubs will have to offer in the region of €20m. FC Nurnberg will reportedly not be pressured into selling below this valuation and will bide their time during the transfer window.

Jander has started 32 league games this season, scoring three goals. He’s contracted to the Bavarian club until June 2028.
