Last week, the Belgian press, HLN specifically, reported Wolves are keen on KAA Gent striker Roman Yaremchuk.

At that point he’d scored 15 goals and contributed five assists in 27 games in the Jupiler Pro League this season. The 25-year-old added to that at the weekend in a 7-2 thrashing of Zulte Waregem, in which he scored two goals and added an assist to his totals.

Along with Wolves, Arsenal were also linked with the Ukraine international, who is expected to lead the attack for his country at the postponed Euro 2020 this summer.

Calciomercato now provide an exclusive update on the player’s situation. They reiterate that Wolves and Arsenal are keen, along with Serie A sides Lazio and AS Roma.

It’s then stated another club is leading the race, with Sporting CP in a ‘sprint’ to secure Yaremchuk’s services before anyone else gets there first. That would suggest Wolves will need to move quickly if they want to beat the Lisbon club to the Gent star.
