Wolverhampton Wanderers are trying to sign a new centre-back, and they are making it rather clear.
Already seeing a bid for Sven Botman rejected by Lille, the Premier League side have kept their attention firmly placed on France, with Marseille’s Duje Caleta-Car their next target.
That’s according to RMC Sport, who also point out that West Ham United are also ‘following’ the Croatia international and could ‘manifest themselves quickly’.
As for Wolves, they have ‘just made an offer of €15m’ for the Marseille centre-back, before asking a few questions.
Those are whether that amount will be enough to convince the Ligue 1 side and whether the player is thrilled at the idea of moving to Molineux.
Either way, they make it clear ‘the next few days will be decisive’, because Marseille ‘want to sell and need money to buy players, especially up front’, with Jorge Sampaoli ideally wanting Andy Delort from Montpellier to bolster his strikeforce.
