André Onana’s performances have been mixed since he joined Manchester United from Inter Milan in July 2023. The goalkeeper has kept 24 clean sheets and conceded 148 goals from 101 games for the Red Devils.

The Cameroon international was criticised by a section of the Manchester United fans after their Europa League final defeat to Tottenham Hotspur. Last month, his brother, Christian, came out to defend him from his critics.

Onana’s former Ajax teammate, Bertrand Traoré, runs a foundation in Burkina Faso. The goalkeeper travelled to his country to attend an event organised by the Bertrand Traoré Foundation.

The Manchester United player spoke to the local media and Afrik-Foot have relayed his comments. It’s no surprise the 29-year-old was asked about his future with Ruben Amorim’s side.

Responding to that, he said: “Will I leave? I don’t know, we’ll see!”

Onana’s contract at Old Trafford lasts until 2028, with an option for another year. That hasn’t stopped several reports from linking other goalkeepers to Manchester United.

The list includes Aston Villa’s Emiliano Martínez, and on Friday, claims from Argentina had stated he’s waiting for Manchester United. A move depends on Onana leaving the Premier League club, something he seemingly doesn’t want to rule out.
