At the weekend, Corriere dello Sport reported West Ham United have initiated contact to sign Tammy Abraham. It was also stated AS Roma want €23-25m to sanction his sale this summer.

Gianluca Di Marzio backs that up and adds that West Ham have taken further steps to sign the striker.

The Giallorossi are working on getting rid of some players, after Paulo Dybala rejected a move to Saudi Arabia.

Abraham is included in this list and Di Marzio claims the Serie A side are in negotiations with West Ham for his transfer.

He adds the Hammers have ‘made an offer’ close to the Serie A side’s request. There’s no mention of the fee offered by Julen Lopetegui’s side or Roma’s request to let the 26-year-old leave in this window.

West Ham are also in talks with the former Chelsea man. Di Marzio says he has a high salary, suggesting that it could be a concern for the Hammers. If the player were to leave, Roma could replace him with KAA Gent’s Matias Fernandez-Pardo.

Sky Italia journalist Angelo Mangiante claims West Ham have offered €20m for Abraham. This is €3-5m short of the fee requested [as per Corriere] by Roma.
