AC Milan are desperate to offload Carlos Bacca to raise funds to sign other players, whilst West Ham are equally desperate to sign the Colombian international.
However, Bacca wants to play for a Champions League club and so far has refused a move to West Ham. The Hammers have placed a €30m/£25m bid for Bacca, but it seems they’re not prepared to give up yet.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport on Monday, Bacca, recently met his agent, who presented West Ham’s latest offer to his client.
Gazzetta say the London club have raised their offer to €5m/season, and are ready to offer him a four-year contract. Apparently, Bacca is considering the offer, but is still hoping for Paris-Saint Germain to make an offer should they sell Brazilian star Lucas Moura.
We should now wait for an update on this, but it seems West Ham are not ready to give up easily. The Italian media keep doing this, one day they explain the deal is dead for West Ham, and the next there’s a glimmer of hope.
