West Ham United have Lyon’s Georges Mikautadze on their radar, according to a report.
The striker arrived at the Ligue 1 side from FC Metz in the summer window and signed a deal until 2028. He managed four goals and one assist from 16 games, which includes six starts.
Tutto Juve say the 24-year-old hasn’t been able to meet expectations at Lyon, without considering that’s he’s mainly a substitute.
Juventus are also credited with an interest in the player, but the report mainly focuses on the Hammers. Mikautadze has already been on Julen Lopetegui’s side agenda, likely for a while.
Their title says ‘West Ham move’, indicating they are making movements to try and sign him, but there isn’t anything concrete within the report to back it up.
It’s claimed the Premier League side have emerged as the possible destination for the Georgia international, indicating he could join them.
Lyon have a ‘financial crisis’ and have to sell some players in the winter market to raise funds. West Ham can take advantage of the French club’s difficult situation, if they are keen securing Mikautadze’s services.
