West Ham United, Nottingham Forest and Napoli are all chasing Galatasaray’s Barış Alper Yılmaz for the summer window.
That’s according to Türkiye Gazetesi, and they cover West Ham, Nottingham Forest and Napoli interest in the 24-year-old.
Barış Alper Yılmaz managed 11 goals and six assists from 43 games this season and West Ham made an approach in January.
According to the report, the Istanbul club weren’t willing to part ways with the winger in January and therefore, rejected their €25m proposal.
Graham Potter’s side haven’t given up on the Turkey international yet and will contact Galatasaray again with a new offer. There’s no mention of the fee they are willing to offer in the next window.
In addition to West Ham, Nottingham Forest and Napoli are also in the picture to sign the attacker.
The Turkish champions’ immediate focus is to retain the title but are willing to negotiate Barış Alper Yılmaz’s sale in the summer. To sanction a move, Türkiye Gazetesi state they are asking for €35m.
In other words, West Ham have to raise their offer by €10m, and whether they will meet Galatasaray’s request is unclear.
The player looks ‘set to pack his bags’ after this season, meaning he’s preparing for an exit.
