Sevilla striker Youssef En Nesyri ‘wants to knock on the door’ of the Premier League again after being heavily linked with West Ham United for the last two years.
That’s according to Mundo Deportivo, who say any repeat bid from West Ham would be warmly welcomed by the Spanish side in January.
They explain that the Hammers offered €30m two seasons ago but that was rejected by the club and player himself.
His fortunes have not improved since that point, but he has managed to find his goalscoring touch at the World Cup, something that has been warmly welcomed in Sevilla.
That has helped to revalue the striker and get him back on track, and he wants to knock on the Premier League’s door and drum up interest.
England’s topflight is seen as the ‘ideal championship’ for the forward and West Ham are known to be admirers as David Moyes was ‘in love with his game’.
A move to the London Stadium never happened and Sevilla missed out on a big sale, with the time since then not a happy one for the player or the club.
They now need to sell before they can buy in January, though, and En Nesyri’s ‘revival’ in Qatar could help them to do that.
If they were to receive an offer like the one from West Ham two seasons ago, they would be more than happy to accept it and do their own business.
Whether that is likely to happen remains to be seen but with West Ham and Moyes known to be fans, expect plenty of talks in the build up to January.
