Ivan Perisic has been linked with a Premier League move for quite some time.

Jose Mourinho had wanted the player at Manchester United, reportedly travelling to Croatia to speak with him personally during an international break. Attempts were made, but the Manchester club didn’t want to go as high as Inter Milan demanded, so Perisic stayed where he was.

The player then made it very clear he’d quite fancy a move to English football, and during the winter transfer window he told Inter he wanted out. Arsenal were then linked, and Tottenham, and now Gazzetta dello Sport say West Ham United have moved into the picture.

The Hammers are sending transfer ‘sirens’ and have already ‘probed’ the potential signing. They’re said to have Perisic in their sights, and Inter would consider a sale if it fit their terms.

West Ham would be required to pay €35-40m, with Gazzetta comparing it to the deal which took Felipe Anderson from Lazio.

Perisic is now 30 years of age, so it’s certainly a hefty fee.
