West Ham United striker Gianluca Scamacca is in ‘continuous contact’ with his agent to secure a move away from the club.
That’s according to Corriere dello Sport, who say the Italian is desperate to get out of the London Stadium and return to his homeland.
The newspaper explains that Scamacca is more than interested in a potential move to Roma and is in constant contact with his agents to receive information on how negotiations are going.
West Ham are currently waiting for other offers to arrive for him, but Scamacca wants to return home and to his former club, where he previously failed to break through as a youngster before moving to PSV.
Indeed, he is so keen on the switch that he is ‘training on holiday’, undertaking athletic exercises and muscle strengthening so he can be ready for the new season.
He wants to be playing that campaign in a Roma shirt but so far it appears negotiations between West Ham and the Serie A side have yet to get going to make his wishes come true.
