West Ham United are considering a move for RCD Mallorca goalkeeper Predrag Rajković in the summer.
That’s according to MaxBet Sport, and they state his displays have caught the Hammers’ attention. He’s kept eight clean sheets and conceded 35 goals from 29 games this season.
It’s said West Ham have sent their scouts to keep a close eye on the 28-year-old live in action for the La Liga side on several occasions.
The report adds David Moyes’ side ‘plan to start negotiations soon’ with the Spanish club for the stopper’s transfer. His current deal lasts until 2026 and MaxBet Sport say Mallorca value the Serbia international at around €10m.
Diario de Mallorca, a newspaper local to the La Liga side, have relayed this claim and then give their own take on this case.
Following West Ham’s interest, it’s said a move to the Premier League doesn’t seem like a bad step for the Serbian.
Rajković, Dominik Greif and Iván Cuéllar are currently the three goalkeepers at Mallorca. The latter’s deal runs down in June while Greif has revalued himself after impressing in the Copa del Rey final defeat to Athletic at the weekend.
The possibility of Mallorca selling one of their stoppers has been on their sporting leaders’ table throughout the season. If West Ham were to make an offer of €10m for Rajković, they may be able to secure his services, presumably as a back-up option.
