Mohamed Elneny’s deal at Arsenal will expire in June and it’s not clear where he will play beyond this season.

The midfielder has clocked in less than 100 minutes from six games this season, out of which 62 minutes came in the Gunners’ Champions League draw against Feyenoord in December.

Fanatik state Trabzonspor are looking at the possibility of signing the Arsenal player on a free transfer in the summer.

The 31-year-old has played under the Turkish club’s manager, Abdullah Avcı, when he was on loan at Beşiktaş during the 2019/20 season.

Trabzonspor have tried signing the Egypt international on two occasions in the past, but they weren’t successful due to Arsenal’s high demands and his high salary request.

Elneny is back on their agenda after Avcı asked the Süper Lig side to make an attempt to sign him.

Fanatik state the Arsenal man is ‘ready for new adventures’ and will evaluate the offers he will receive. They further add there could be ‘hot developments’ regarding his Gunners exit in the coming weeks.

It needs to be seen whether Trabzonspor will be successful in signing Elneny at the third attempt or if he’ll pick another club. Either way, his future seems to be away from Mikel Arteta’s side.
