Over the past few days, several claims from Brazil have explained that West Ham United are keen on signing Flamengo’s Fabrício Bruno.
Journalist Venê Casagrande took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to explain that the Hammers director [likely Tim Steidten] has made a trip to Brazil to ‘try to buy’ Bruno.
During his visit to South America, Casagrande claims the West Ham official has also made a trip to São Paulo ‘this week’, to hold talks with Palmeiras for Luis Guilherme.
The Premier League side had the 18-year-old on their radar in the past and now made an attempt to sign him in the summer window.
Casagrande says West Ham have also talked with Palmeiras president Leila Pereira about the winger. A deal is unlikely to take shape because the Brazilian club’s board ‘didn’t even want to move forward’ with the youngster’s sale in the next window.
On Wednesday, journalist Jorge Nicola stated Brentford have made a €30m proposals for Guilherme, and Pereira is yet to make a decision on whether or not to accept it.
With Casagrande now insisting that Palmeiras aren’t considering selling Guilherme, they are unlikely to accept the Bees’ bid for him.
