AMK Spor claim Galatasaray boss Fatih Terim could drop Garry Rodrigues for the crucial game against Besiktas this weekend.

Terim has become concerned the player has had his head turned by recent transfer speculation, following an offer from West Ham United.

The Turkish website report Rodrigues’ latest performances are a worry for Terim, and the 63 year old could select Sinan Gumus for the Istanbul derby on Sunday.

This coincides with the 27 year old’s reaction when substituted during the last match against Alanyaspor. Rodrigues reportedly gave hand gestures towards the bench and then threw a bottle to the ground.

There latest developments will only give West Ham a boost in their hopes of signing the Cape Verde international ahead of the next transfer window.

Last month we covered reports from the Turkish press that West Ham have made a €12m offer for the player, but Galatasaray are reportedly demanding a fee in the region of €18m.

Rodrigues has also been linked with Everton and Newcastle United.
