Turkish newspaper Takvim today reports West Ham United are the first club to have made an official offer to Galatasaray to sign their star player Garry Rodrigues in the summer window.

It’s been well documented in the Turkish press that Newcastle United and Everton have been following the player, but Takvim report West Ham are the first club who have made their move to sign the Cape Verde international.

The 27-year old winger has been in very impressive form for Galatasaray for this season, and Takvim say David Moyes’ side have offered €12m to sign the player.

However, the offer has reportedly rejected by Galatasaray board as the Turkish club are valuing Rodrigues around €18m. That’s lower than some other claims in Turkey which had put the valuation amount higher.

We covered reports from Turkish press this week which stated Rodrigues’ mind is only focused on winning the title with Galatasaray at the moment, but it seems Premier League interest isn’t going anywhere.

West Ham’s offer may be a nudge to Everton and Newcastle to do likewise.

Rodrigues has played 31 games for Galatasaray so far this season and scored 7 goals.
