West Ham and Nottingham Forest ‘already made contact’ to sign player in January – Need to be convincing

Back in September, we relayed news from Italy that West Ham United and Nottingham Forest failed signing Ruslan Malinovskyi in the last transfer window because they were not ready to meet Atalanta’s €50m asking price.

The attacking midfielder continues to get linked with a move away from the Serie A side and the two English club maintain an interest in him.

A latest report from Calciomercato state that West Ham and Nottingham Forest are among the four clubs that want the 29-year-old in January.

In order to acquire the Ukraine international’s services in the next window, it’s explained that David Moyes’ side and the Tricky Trees have ‘already made contact’ with the Italian club’s chief, Antonio Percassi.

A potential deal can be carried out in the winter market, if two factors can be satisfied.

The likes of the Hammers and Steve Cooper’s side must make an offer which will not be less than €30m to convince Atalanta. In addition to this, the destination should please the player.

In other words, West Ham and Nottingham Forest transfer people must convince Malinovskyi that moving to their respective clubs is the right move for him to maintain any hope of signing him.
