West Ham United are yet to make a formal bid to Sevilla for Youssef En-Nesyri but the two clubs ‘do not stop talking’ to each other about the striker.
That’s according to ABC Sevilla, who say Sevilla are more than happy to work out a deal for the Moroccan and secure a figure that all sides consider fair.
The newspaper explains West Ham are yet to make a formal offer for En-Nesyri, who they have targeted over the last two years but failed to get as he turned down the move.
Their last offer for the player back in January was worth around last offer for the player back in January was worth around €31m but it remains to be seen if they will go that high again for him.
Sevilla, for their part, are eyeing up €30m but are willing to accept that being broken up into a deal that would see West Ham pay €25m in a fixed fee and the rest paid in bonuses or ‘variable terms’.
If such a bid were to be made it would be considered ‘out of market’ and force Sevilla into a sale, particularly as next year he will be in the final year of his contract and worth considerably less.
They also have to take into account the fact that En-Nesyri’s former club, Leganes, have a clause guaranteeing them 10% of any future profit from a sale. They sold the striker for €20m so any figure above that and they’ll be taking a cut of the difference.
Thus, Sevilla need to push for more to make it work for them too and negotiations are underway with West Ham and contact constant.
The striker, meanwhile, continues to work but is aware of the renewed interest and is expecting ‘good news’ to come from the first meetings between the Hammers and his club.
