In the past few months, with several reports about the future of Salernitana forward Boulaye Dia, it’s been said West Ham United are interested in signing him this summer.
The striker has 15 goals and six assists in Serie A this season, including a hat-trick in the recent 3-3 draw against Fiorentina, and that made him a target for a few Premier League sides, including the Hammers.
Now as Italian outlet Gazzetta Dello Sport features a story about the 26-year-old, we get to know how strong West Ham may look in that race.
The report claims Salernitana should demand €20m for him this summer, and while that’s a lot for certain clubs who are interested, it’s not for the English, who ‘can afford’ that easily.
So even though the likes of AC Milan and Napoli may get interested in landing him, it’s expected that West Ham and other Premier League sides have an econominic advantage in this race.
The truth is that Boulaye Dia has been linked to the Hammers for year, long before he arrived in Italy.
Reports from 2021 already mentioned the interest from the London side, and this could be a great chance to finally get that signing done, especially since Gazzetta add that he ‘dreamed’ of a move to the Premier League last summer.
