West Ham United are today linked to Barcelona fullback Sergiño Dest.
The news is brought by Spanish outlet Fichajes, who say the Hammers are one of the Premier League clubs who are keen on signing the 22-year-old.
Dest is currently having a loan spell at AC Milan, but as said in the report, his time with the Rossoneri hasn’t been enough to convince them to go for a permanent move.
Barcelona have no interest in keeping him either, and should try to sell him in the summer transfer window. That’s where West Ham come in.
It’s claimed that Dest is in the ‘wish list’ the Hammers’ board have for the next market, and pointed out that the London side have enough money to convince both Barça and the player.
Fichajes suggest West Ham must worry about something else first, which is keeping themselves in the Premier League. Then they can think of going for the fullback.
The story adds that Crystal Palace are another English side who want Dest, and could fight the Hammers for his transfer. The player is currently valued by Transfermarkt at €12m.
