West Ham United are among the clubs in the mix to sign Sevilla goalkeeper Yassine Bounou, also known as Bono, in the summer.
The Morocco international impressed for his country at the World Cup which has seen his valuation rise.
AS on Tuesday state the La Liga side feared the possibility of losing him in January but no deal took shape. It’s said the Premier League sides would look for him after this season.
West Ham are mentioned as they are ‘interested’ in Bono, but that’s all the report has to say about the two English clubs.
The 31-year-old has a contract until 2025 and it includes a fluctuating release clause that can reach up to €50m.
Sevilla know that there will be important offers for the stopper in the next window since he is currently the ‘most sellable’ player at the club.
While Łukasz Fabiański is the first-choice goalkeepers is the first choice goalkeeper at the Hammers this season, his deal expires in June, even if there is a club option to extend that by a year.
Then again, even if they decide to part ways with the Pole, they have Alphonse Aréola to fall back on.
However, should they decide against using the Frenchman as their number one, it’s clear a new goalkeeper will be needed, and Bono fits that profile perfectly.
