There’s a claim in the Turkish media that West Ham United have held transfer talks with the agent of Galatasaray attacker Baris Alper Yilmaz.

The Turkey international has been linked with a move to West Ham in recent weeks following reports they were lining up an offer for him.

Fotospor today report on the latest developments regarding the future of the player, and they say his agent has met with West Ham in London. It’s been widely reported Liverpool held negotiations with both the player and his agent during their trip to England.

The Turkish media outlet goes on to say the 24-year-old regrets extending his contract last summer because he could be earning more money at a major European club.

We recently reported on claims from Turkey that West Ham could come in with a €35m offer for the right winger following his performances at this summer’s Euros.

His impact in Germany has caused a lot of hype and it seems to have resulted in claims of over-inflated offers.

Brighton & Hove Albion, Liverpool, Arsenal, Manchester United and Tottenham have all been linked with him this summer.

He started 28 Super Lig games last season, scoring seven goals. Yılmaz is contracted to Galatasaray until June 2027.
