West Ham United are ‘determined’ to sign Filip Kostic from Eintracht Frankfurt and block a potential move to Juventus.
That’s according to Gazzetta Dello Sport, who cover the situation around the Serbian winger today.
They explain that Kostic is ready to say goodbye to Frankfurt and yesterday the contacts with Juventus were ‘very fruitful’.
There is no definitive agreement in place yet but there is a desire from all parties to get the deal done and the player’s agent, Alessandro Lucci is working hard to finalise it.
Juventus remain optimistic about winning the race, however, and ‘optimism reigns’ in their boardroom that they will do so.
It remains to be seen what deal they will agree to and whether the current one, €12m plus €3m is the one they agree on or if a further adjustment is needed.
Frankfurt have taken note of the player’s willingness to move to Turin and so are making the door as wide as possible on that front, a further blow to West Ham’s chances of getting Kostic over the line.
Gazzetta believe Kostic could join Juventus as early as next week.
