Galatasaray’s Victor Nelsson has repeatedly been linked with a move to the Premier League.
It’s never quite materialised but the defender could now finally be about to depart the Turkish side, with England one of the likeliest destinations.
Takvim in Turkey have reported today that there is a ‘red hot’ development about the centre-back. He’s been offered a new deal by Galatasaray but rejected it outright.
The reason for the rejection is the Dane’s lack of playing time at Gala, and this situation has attracted the attention of West Ham.
The Hammers are ‘closely following’ Nelsson, who is seriously considering leaving Galatasaray at the end of the season in a hunt to get more playing time.
Apart from West Ham, there is interest from Sevilla, Bologna and Lille. He is clearly in high demand and there is quite a bit of encouragement for clubs.
West Ham will be further encouraged by the fact that Nelsson’s current deal at Gala runs out in the summer of 2026 and the summer of 2025 could see him leave for a low figure.
