The Brazilian media now shares some positive updates on West Ham United’s chase for Luis Guilherme.
Earlier on Thursday, it had been said that the Hammers placed a €25m bid for the player, and while Palmeiras were analysing that, they actually wanted €30m.
It turns out that as UOL’s André Hernan shares his own story, he highlights that West Ham’s talks for Luis Guilherme are getting ‘more and more advanced’, and the bid is actually higher.
The journalist claims that days ago, Hammers directors were in Brazil and signalled their intent of a €30m offer, plus bonuses.
Hernan says that even though there’s nothing done yet, West Ham are excited because Luis Guilherme approved the move, since they’re a Premier League club.
Taking a piece of information from each source, it does sound like the Hammers are close to a deal with Palmeiras to take the youngster this summer.
Even though Luis Guilherme’s numbers in the first team aren’t impressive, he’s treated at the Brazilian club as one of the big talents coming after Endrick and Estêvão, who are leaving for Real Madrid and Chelsea.
