On Wednesday, Gazzetta dello Sport stated West Ham United have joined Leicester City and AS Roma in the chase for Juventus’ Matias Soulé.
Leicester and Roma are keen to sign the winger, but their offers haven’t convinced the Old Lady so far.
That’s according to Tuttosport, who claim West Ham could overtake Leicester and Roma to secure the 21-year-old’s signature this summer.
The Turin club are requesting €35m for Soulé and are willing to close the deal for €30m plus €5m in bonuses. The deal proposed by Leicester is worth around €27m and the report says this is more than what was offered by the Giallorossi.
This has allowed the Hammers to enter the race and they are ‘about to burst onto the scene’ for the Argentina U21 international. Tuttosport claim intermediaries involved in the deal are ‘about to complete the work with ambitious’ West Ham.
If Julen Lopetegui’s side were to offer the €35m fee requested by Juve in the next 24 to 48 hours, Roma and Leicester will have to match it.
It’s claimed this week will be decisive to sort out the South American’s future, and it’ll be interesting to see where he will end up, even though Soulé’s preference is to join Roma.
