With the season’s end getting closer and closer, this international break is a great time for players called up to their respective national teams to discuss and look back on what they have achieved so far, as well as what they can perhaps do in the future.

Arriving at West Brom from Tottenham last summer, Nacer Chadli’s form at the Hawthorns started spectacularly with four goals and two assists in his first five games.

Now with five goals and five assists to his name in all competitions, the winger has seen a slight resurgence in his form of late, with the remaining three assists and one goal coming in his last six appearances after a relatively poor dip of form between October and February.

Back in the Belgium squad, the West Brom winger was interviewed by the local media, including DH, and asked about his time at the Hawthorns so far.

He said: “Things are going well with the fans and the team. Everyone at the club is really nice. They all welcomed me warmly, and I’m very happy. No, I don’t regret my choice at all.”

With Axel Witsel being interviewed beside him, the journalists couldn’t help but ask the West Brom winger whether or not a move to China would be of interest to him.

He replied: “For now, no, since I’ve just signed for West Brom, but in a few years, why not? I understand his choice. It’s not easy to reject such offers. You need to put himself in his boots. I’m happy for him, and as long as he is too, that’s the main thing.”

Nothing to worry about now, then.
