West Bromwich Albion winger Grady Diangana has been offered a contract by Turkish side Istanbul Basaksehir ahead of becoming a free agent in the summer.

That’s according to Africa Foot, who say the Super Lig side have already sent his representatives a three-year contract.

Diangana is set to become a free agent in the summer, with his current deal at the Hawthorns due to expire and no sign of a renewal on the way.

Reports in January hinted that he could be on the way and had clubs in Europe interested in him, although West Brom were keen to extend his five year stay at the club.

He joined them from West Ham, initially on loan in 2019 but signed permanently in 2020 and has remained ever since, with 26 goals and 21 assists to his name in 196 appearances to date.

He’s been out of the side somewhat this season, featuring in just 37% of the available minutes in the league, and it seems could be set for pastures new.

Africa Foot report he has received a three-year contract offer from Basaksehir, who consider him as a player with a style of play that is a perfect fit for their own. He also fits the profile of player they’re looking at.

Thus they’ve contacted the West Brom winger’s representatives and made a three-year proposal to them. The various parties are now believed to be working on reaching a final agreement.

Whether that means he ends up in Turkey this summer remains to be seen but the offer is there nonetheless, with his current contract at the Hawthorns due to expire.
