Tanguy Ndombele’s failure to convince Antonio Conte at Tottenham Hotspur has seen him spend time away from the north London club this season.
After spending the second half of last season on loan at Lyon, the midfielder joined Napoli on a season-long loan deal in the summer window.
The Tottenham owned player has made 11 appearances in all competitions, managing a goal and an assist in the process. This also includes four starts in the league with the Naples club.
Spurs invested over €60m in securing the Frenchman’s services from Lyon in 2019. Tutto Napoli now question how he was able to have a high valuation during his first spell with the Ligue 1 side.
They then state The Serie A side are able to enjoy the 25-year-old now. When praising Ndombele, the website claims his ‘qualities are evident, yet [they] only emerge partially’.
After his third league start, Ndombele, described as a ‘splendid soloist’, gave an impression he is an ‘excellent player with characteristics currently distant, but not very much, from those contained in Spalletti’s idea of football’.
Although Tutto Napoli praise the Tottenham midfielder, they point out a few areas where he needs to work on, to further enhance his game.
Ndombele is told to improve the understating with his teammates and also his physicality. There’s belief this will ‘happen over time’.
The website end their report by stating: ‘Napoli made a great shot on loan and Ndombele is a luxury for the few. He too will emerge and very soon yet another great market intuition will be right.’
