Following the many reports from Italy saying Watford are interested in the signing of Morten Thorsby from Sampdoria, it seems the Hornets have started moving for the transfer.
A report from Samp News 24 today claims there’s now been an offer from the Premier League side for the 25-year-old.
The story claims that for now, Watford haven’t gone over €6m, while Sampdoria ask for €7m plus the inclusion of performance bonuses.
Even though there seems to be no deal yet, new contacts are expected ‘in the coming hours’ so the clubs can reach an agreement.
Last week, it had already been claimed that Watford would start by offering €6m and would then raise their bid, and that seems to be pretty much what’s happening now.
So with the Italian media now promising new developments in the coming hours, it really sounds like Sampdoria have opened the door to find a deal for a price close to that.
