Manchester City have been heavily linked with a move for Juventus’ Andrea Cambiaso over the last few months and Liverpool are now being edged into the race.
The Italian press has seemed quite clear about interest from the Citizens playing on the full-back’s mind in January and now, he finds himself a bit ‘detached’ from the Bianconeri.
Calciomercato’s Daniele Longo has reported more about this today and his report states that ‘something has broken’ in the relationship between Cambiaso and Juventus. So much so that even if the Old Lady qualify for the Champions League, they will still sell the Italy international.
A lot of it is because of how Manchester City continue to monitor the situation since January but the report brings in Liverpool.
It mentions – ‘watch out for Liverpool’, stating that the versatile full-back could be the Reds’ potential replacement for Trent Alexander-Arnold.
Cambiaso’s price tag has also come down from how much it was some months ago. A fee of around €40m to €45m could be enough for Arne Slot’s side or Manchester City to land the 25-year-old, who is increasingly likely to leave in the summer.
