The future of Antonio Conte at Tottenham Hotspur is normally more a subject in the Italian than in the English media, as there are always some rumours about his potential return to Serie A.
So as agent Massimo Brambati was today interviewed by TMW Radio’s Maracanã show, he was asked to speak a little about the coach’s situation.
He made it clear that when negotiating a potential new contract with Tottenham, Conte wants to know whether Spurs will be able to fight for big things in the coming years. So the London club can’t only convince him to stay by offering a load of money.
“The focus is not the contract but the projects. So much so that Tottenham asked for an extension, but he wants to understand if he has to continue being in the top four doing miracles or have a team that can win the Premier League. His stay will depend a lot on this,” Massimo Brambati told Tutto Mercato Web.
Antonio Conte’s contract with Tottenham expires at the end of the season, and that’s why there’s some bigger noise about his potential return to Italy next year, as he continues to be highly rated among Serie A’s big clubs.
Spurs currently stand on the 4th place in the Premier League, only eight points behind the first place, with Conte proving that he could do better with more investment in the squad.
