Inter Milan star Mauro Icardi’s agent and wife Wanda Nara recently tweeted: “We must learn to give people the same value and importance they give us.”
It was the latest in a long line of cryptic, and sometimes blatant, messages sent out designed to cause a transfer stir around Icardi.
The Argentine striker has been linked to the likes of Arsenal, Chelsea, and Napoli, but recent reports suggested he is set to continue at Inter and sign a new contract.
Italian newspaper Il Messaggero believe Wanda Nara’s tweet has something to do with Icardi’s renewal. It is reported clubs are ready to pay a transfer fee of €60m for Icardi, and Nara is disappointed with the wages offered to the player by Inter.
Il Messaggero claim Inter have two offers for Icardi, and those are from Chelsea and Napoli.
Napoli have offered €60m plus €2m in bonuses for the player, whilst the offer from Chelsea is not clearly mentioned, but Diego Costa has apparently been offered in exchange.
It is reported Wanda Nara is due in London for talks with Arsenal and Chelsea, and it remains to be seen if Inter can convince him to sign a renewal.
