Anderlecht are considering signing Chelsea’s Malang Sarr before the winter market closes, according to reports from Belgium.
The 25-year-old, who can operate in the heart of the defence and as a left-back, has been left out of Mauricio Pochettino’s plans this season.
Due to his versatility, Het Nieuwsblad state the Belgian club have identified the Chelsea player as a new target.
Ludwig Augustinsson and Moussa N’Diaye are currently on the sidelines and right-back Killian Sardella, who can be used as a left-back, is also in Anderlecht’s treatment room.
The report states the trio will be out for a few weeks and the situation has forced them to look for a new left-back. This is where Sarr could fit in and it needs to be seen whether the Jupiler Pro League side will push for a loan deal with Chelsea.
Sevilla’s Federico Gattoni will join Anderlecht on a loan deal from Sevilla. That’s according to La Dernière Heure, who add they’ll look for another left footed centre-back and Sarr is their ‘new priority’
It’s claimed the operation is ‘very complicated’ and the Frenchman may not arrive in the end, even though he wants to play, which isn’t possible at Chelsea.
