Ruud Van Nistelrooy appears to have added goalkeeper coach Jelle ten Rouwelaar to his Leicester City coaching team, although the Foxes are yet to confirm it.
That’s at least according to Omrop Fryslan, who report that the former Manchester United coach appears to have followed Van Nistelrooy to Leicester.
They explain that Van Rouwelaar was spotted on the bench behind Van Nistelrooy in Tuesday’s 3-1 win over West Ham United, the Dutchman’s debut game in charge.
The Premier League side have not yet ‘communicated anything’ about the arrival of the 43-year-old, who was released by Manchester United last month alongside Erik ten Hag.
However, he was ‘suddenly on the bench’ behind Van Nistelrooy on Tuesday as he enjoyed a winning start to his reign.
That would suggest a deal for him has been done and they will be the fourth club for the goalkeeper coach this year after being with Burnley, then Ajax, then Manchester United.
He left the latter, alongside Van Nistelrooy, as Ten Hag and his coaching team departed Old Trafford but now appears to have secured himself a place at Leicester instead.
Whether a lack of communication from the Foxes is an oversight, or simply planned for a later date, isn’t clear but his appearance on Tuesday evening has not gone unnoticed in the Netherlands.
