It’s no secret Middlesbrough are still in negotiations with Valencia for Alvaro Negredo, after completing a deal for Antonio Barragan.

Any deal for the Spaniard is believed to be a bit complicated, but it is reported Middlesbrough are interested in a loan deal.

According to Valencia based website Super Deporte, Alvaro Negredo’s transfer to Middlesbrough is not 100% completed yet.

The Spaniard is waiting for the officials of Valencia and Middlesbrough to complete negotiations. Negredo was on the bench in a friendly played behind closed doors on Saturday, and has been training with the team.

Earlier, reports claimed Middlesbrough officials are in Spain to hold discussions for Negredo. It is reported the Spanish side are also desperate to offload the player, as he is one of the highest earners at the club.

Close, but no cigar yet.
