Sven Mislintat needs to not make comments on other clubs, after his recent dig at Erik ten Hag at Manchester United.
That’s according to journalist Valentijn Driessen, who has labelled the director of football’s comments on Jadon Sancho’s time at Manchester United as “unbelievable”.
Mislintat recently raised his head above the parapet with a wide-ranging interview with Sky Germany after his departure from Ajax in the summer.
He left the Dutch giants following just a few months as their technical director, arriving in May to oversee their rebuild before departing in September amid wide-spread criticism of the work he’d done at the club.
His time in the Netherlands has largely been classed as a disaster and nowhere near the level of success he enjoyed at the likes of Borussia Dortmund.
Indeed, he has built much of his career on his time with the German side and the successful signings he made there, one of those being Jadon Sancho.
He recently returned to the Bundesliga side on loan from Manchester United after struggling at Old Trafford, something which Mislintat was surprised by given his experience with the winger.
Driessen cannot contemplate him making such comments, though, criticising Mislintat for daring to make them.
“It’s unbelievable that you have the courage to say that when you yourself have failed miserably at Ajax in every respect,” he said.
