Tyrell Malacia made his return to the Manchester United first-team last week.
He started for Ruben Amorim’s side against Bodo/Glimt in the Europa League and while his performance wasn’t the most convincing, it was only the start of a potential resurgence under a new manager.
He was on the bench against both Ipswich Town and Everton, suggesting that a return to action in the Premier League might not be too far away.
After his return, reports in England linked Malacia with a move to Borussia Dortmund.
That claim has now been rubbished in Germany, as Bild have looked at the Dutch left-back’s situation.
They state that it’s unlikely that Dortmund will be keen on the Manchester United defender. Ramy Bensebaini’s performances at left-back have made sure that the German club’s need for a left-back has reduced.
They also have 18-year-old Almugera Kabar waiting in the wings as a back-up to Bensebaini, and they don’t want to hamper his progress.
The report questions whether the 25-year-old would play more at Signal Iduna Park or Old Trafford, suggesting the move would be pointless for everyone involved.
