Tottenham Hotspur are ‘interested’ in Rubin Kazan’s Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, according to reports coming out of Italy.
The 20-year-old has been linked to AC Milan and Sky Italia, relayed by Milan News, stated the Serie A side have not gone beyond requesting information.
Any potential operation remains difficult for Milan because the Russian club are demanding €18m to let the winger leave in the ongoing window.
Operating on the left wing, Kvaratskhelia managed four goals and eight assists in 23 league matches for the Russian club last season. Earlier in May, his father stressed the attacker will “100% will wear a new shirt in the summer”.
Reports in the Russian press continue to name Stefano Pioli’s side as a suitor for the Georgia international, but Calciomercato have now joined Sky to dismiss these claims.
After completing Fikayo Tomori’s transfer, the Italian club can register only one more non-EU player next season. Kvaratskhelia’s profile is appreciated by the Rossoneri chiefs, but their priority is to sign Brazilian Kaio Jorge from Santos.
It’s claimed the situation can quickly change for Milan with regards to Kvaratskhelia, who is also liked by Spurs, Bayer Leverkusen and Borussia Mönchengladbach.
Calciomercato are also stating Tottenham are in the picture for Kvaratskhelia, but provide no information whether or not Nuno Espírito Santo’s side are ready to meet the €18m fee demanded by Rubin Kazan.
